Visitors and Visiting Hours:
Monday to Friday: 10am to 12 noon and 3pm to 7pm
Weekends and Public Holidays: 10am to 12 noon and 3pm to 7pm
An Essential Visitor can remain with the patient outside of standard visiting hours.
An Essential visitor is:
- One parent of an admitted child (aged 17 years and under)
- An end-of-life support person
- A nominated guardian/carer for a patient living with a disability.
Visitors are not permitted within the Day Surgery Unit (excluding an essential visitor). A member of staff will advise the designated support person when the patient is ready for discharge.
With the exception of one essential visitor for those under 17 years, visitors are not permitted into the perioperative area.
All visitors must:
- Be free of COVID-19 symptoms or respiratory illness
- Not be identified as a close contact of a confirmed case of COVID-19
- Not have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the previous seven (7) days
- Not be waiting for the result of a COVID-19 test.
Visitors are strongly encouraged to wear a face mask and to practice hand hygiene and social distancing.
Family and friends can contact the patient whilst in hospital by telephoning (08) 9367 0222 or the patient’s direct line if staying overnight.

Free off-street parking is available at the rear of the hospital in Burch Street (off Fortune Street). Entry into the hospital is via the Main Entrance on South Terrace.
For patients and visitors to South Perth Hospital with limited mobility, a disabled parking bay is available at the front door of the hospital to ensure ease of access. For further information see Transport and Parking

Please note there is no on-site cafe facility. Meals for visitors can be ordered and paid for at Reception. As an alternative, a café and a delicatessen are located on South Terrace a short walk from the hospital. For further information see Facilities
