SPH comprises 95 beds with 5 operating theatres and a procedure room providing a high standard of acute surgical and medical care/services to the community of Western Australia.

An annual mandatory education program is conducted for all clinical and non-clinical staff. All staff participate in regular performance reviews which may identify opportunities for development and training.
