To assist us in preparing for your admission please:
- Complete and return the hospital’s Pre-Admission form supplied by your doctor as soon as possible. The hospital requires Pre-Admission forms at least 48 hours prior to admission.
- Contact your health insurance fund to verify your level of cover.
- Contact the hospital if you weigh more than 120 kilos.
Please present for admission at the time nominated by your doctor.
What to bring to the hospital
Please bring the following:
- Medicare and Health fund membership details
- Social Security or Pension card
- Pharmacy concession details
- Any letter from your doctor
- Any relevant X-ray films
- Medication you are currently taking in its original packet
- Night attire and personal toiletries.
Driving
Patients should NOT drive for at least 24hrs after a general anaesthetic. Please arrange transport to and from the hospital.
Electrical Equipment
Patients are not to bring any electrical equipment to hospital.
Medication
Please give any tablets or medicines you are currently taking to the Nurse, when you are admitted.
Valuables
We strongly recommend that you leave all valuables at home as Management cannot accept responsibility for security.
